Ohio Counseling Conversations

Conversation 7 - PRIDE is More than a Celebration

Ohio Counseling Association Season 1 Episode 7

Join us on this episode, as we are joined by SAIGEO Members from OCA, Chase Morgan-Swaney, LPCC-S, NCC, CCMHC, ACS(he/him) and Mariah Payne, LPC (she/they/elle) to discuss why PRIDE is more than a celebration month, as it provides cultural dignity to individuals and groups, as well as why we as counselors must increase our awareness of the experiences of LGBTQIA+ clients, colleagues, and community.  We explore current legislation, how we can act to ensure we are advocating for the safety and support of those who would be negatively impacted, and as always, important conversations they believe are meaningful to have.
