Ohio Counseling Association

Join us for this episode with Dr. Staci Hayes, LPCC-S, who is founder and CEO of MetaVoice Foundation, a nonprofit organization that prioritizes mental health and wellness within the Metaverse. In this conversation, Staci and the OCC host Marisa Cargill dig into the implications that technology, ongoing development of the internet, and social media have on our society’s mental health as well as how it can be embraced to better treatment. They discuss the impact of  the Covid-19 Pandemic on the counseling profession and how education can equip counselors and students to better anticipate and participate in prevention of the inevitable unfolding of mental health crises related to technology.

Staci has a background working in counselor education and clinical experience working with children, adolescents, families, college students, as well as severe and persistent mental illness and forensic populations.
